MEGOGO goes beyond internet and turns into offline

09 April 2019

The users of MEGOGO Android application (smartphone and tablets) can download movies, cartoons and TV serials to their device and watch them offline. The convenience option will be the most attractive for travelers, people who often go by the subway and are not always Internet well-connected.

In the nearest future the similar option will be available in the application for iOS devices.

As of present day, the video download extends to a part of the library, about 10,000 videos (blockbusters, hit movies, television serials, TV shows and popular bloggers). MEGOGO representatives say, ‘Gradually, the content available for offline watching is getting more and more as the relevant agreements with the copyright holders are signed. Unfortunately, the copyright holders are the only ones who have the right to decide in what way the viewers can watch the content they have a copyright for’.

The downloaded films can be watched outside Ukraine and this is especially important, since each country has its own content library, and the library is the most extensive just in Ukraine, the CIS, the Baltic States and Georgia.

The function is very simple in use – on the application movie page one can see a new icon ‘download’. In the application settings, the user will have an opportunity to fix the video quality, select the audio track and see the download memory size in the device. The downloaded video itself will appear in ‘I’m watching’ tab, ‘My Downloads’ section. In that very place the viewer will be offered filters by all content categories that can be saved on the device. The offline watch option is available for MEGOGO subscribers only.
