Hundreds of “Kazakhfilm” Studio Movies to Be Available Worldwide
The Kazakhfilm studio and MEGOGO, the largest VOD service in the CIS and Eastern Europe, signed the long-anticipated partnership contract. On September 1, more than a hundred movies produced by the Kazakhstan studio will be available to viewers worldwide.
MEGOGO will feature masterpieces of the cinema art including the golden collection — movies dating back to the studio foundation days, Soviet-era films and the latest productions, animated movies and films that became box office hits in Central Asia. From now on these movies will win the hearts not only among the movie fans in Kazakhstan but all over the world. The hit movies include “My Name is Kozha”, “Girl Zhigit Girl”, “My Fair Doctor”, “Angel in a Tubeteika”, “The Fierce One”, “Kyz Zhibek” and much more.
“One of the focuses of MEGOGO’s content policy is to offer movies of the domestic production. There is a social demand for it and this is important from a cultural point of view,” says Nurlan Chukubayev, general director of the company’s office in Central Asia. “Recently, Kazakhstan movies became worthy of international recognition. We have something to show and to be proud of. If not all those movies can be screened in the movie theaters abroad, then this extensive movie catalog can be available online. Moreover, it has plenty of the 20th century masterpieces,” Nurlan emphasizes.
